Crazy! $100 FAN AND gears jumping right out of the box, this could take a year! I have no choice, I have to use it because I can't wait for another one, fast shipping was a plus! Why put all that money in a suitcase when the "plastic" gears don't last a year. A very heavy fan to have the gears mentioned. so the first one arrived and it was clearly a returned product. Not wanting to risk it, I ordered a replacement and (as always) Amazon took care of it quickly. It only took me about 5 minutes to assemble and install the fan in my garage. The plastic is a bit cheap but works fantastic. True, these aren't "high velocity" fans, but they don't have motors of the size and volume of jet fans either.
