True, these aren't "high velocity" fans, but they don't have motors of the size and volume of jet fans either. They're good fans, move air well, and are fairly quiet - meaning you can have a conversation next to them without yelling or even raising your voice above normal conversational levels. You can get hearing problems when you whisper. They're also pretty easy to install. Mounting brackets and a keyhole for the top screws allow you to temporarily hang it to reduce weight while inserting the bottom screws, and then finish by screwing in the top screws the rest of the way home. This is annoying but also worrying as it could very well be caused by a short in the wiring. I have disabled generation and am looking for information on how to replace this fan. The other (I bought two) seems to work fine.
