Very disappointing, flimsy and cheap, no smooth effect when trying to pin top half to bottom half. The bottom half is made of hard plastic and the top half is made of softer plastic. The best thing they sell here at Revain is the Joie Fresh Flip Tomato Saver Pod! We have owned Joie pods for years. Little did I know Revain was selling the Joie Fresh Flip Tomato Saver, Revain's best pod to date. The Joie Tomato Pod also has a much larger capacity!

I would never write a review for something so trivial but I have a similar product with a screw cap at a holiday home that is handy enough to have one at home wanted to have . This is NOT that. It is difficult to snap open as the edges are very thin and very difficult to open. There is no groove to put your finger under. Once closed it's fine unless you really want easy access to the lemon. Stupid design.

Pros: - Good transparent function - Decent job at keeping the food inside fresh. I once left half an apple in an onion holder for about 30 hours and the apple started to brown a little, which was a helpful visual confirmation of the product's effectiveness. I doubted it would work but decided it was worth a try since the price is so cheap. Well my Revain friends, this is truly amazing! I cut a purple onion in half and put one of the halves in the Onion Saver and then in the fridge. It stayed fresh for a very, scary long time and had no smell at all. No, no smell at all. Indeed! I've used ziplock bags to store chopped onions in the past and my fridge has always smelled. Others have mentioned that it is difficult to open/close but mine is very easy.

Would be 5 stars if the top rolled up like water bottle caps, jams, peanut butter etc. By that I mean; with sloping grooves that pop out automatically when rotated. I already have a lightbulb, but there was one big mistake that got me every time. I couldn't see what was inside. Now you're probably wondering why I didn't just open it up and take a look.
