This is a good, but not great, replacement for the padless unit sold a few years ago. The padding makes the headphones feel less secure on the ear, but I needed an old-style connection so these are a good replacement. The sound is really good, as is the volume and microphone. I'm glad there's an ear replacement for that, so I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Excellent fit, with multiple ear loops. I work as a 911 dispatcher and use it daily. Universally fits any Plantronics quick release cable. Tired of always having messy hair with a standard headset, it also allows you to hear your colleagues with a free ear. The downside is that you have an open ear, sometimes I have to stuff it with my finger if the room is too loud. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

I liked the previous Plantronics headset which was wired and used at work for 17 years. The new phone system didn't work for him and needed a new headset. I couldn't afford smaller on-ear or wireless headphones. I loved it when I first got it and then after wearing it for an hour my ear hurt so bad I couldn't use it for the rest of the day. I would recommend buying another one. I wish I could save my money when I couldn't afford anything else.

The employee for whom this product was ordered is a "hard to beat" person. She is allergic to foam rubber and faux leather pillows so anything we order for her must be used without them. I paid a higher price (compared to similar products) because I liked the compact and portable look, but it CANNOT be used with your computer out of the box.
