A must have when cutting cement board

I can do some DIY and I've read that you can use a utility knife but I can't imagine cutting cement board without this tool.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Generally good but...

Used for marking on hardboard

Works well Hardboard is a hassle and had to be pulled on both sides for a good break. NO disadvantage of this tool that has left good marks

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Cement Board Cutter (and Drywall)

This tool makes very good marks on cement board. Karate cutting board doesn't really work, so I suggest you buy this tool.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some problems

Great cutter is the best tool of the trade

My husband is relocating his bathroom and wanted something that would easily cut cement board. He LOVES this tool and it has made his job so much easier. do not damage the saw blade.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • No instructions

Works but too expensive.

The blade works well for cutting cement boards, but after a few hits it dulls and more force is required to get a good result. I was disappointed that two of the three blades are actually a double pointed blade as shown in the promotional image. Finally, you can get the same tool for $8-$10 at Home Depot.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Small items

Worked for Hardibacker in my bathroom

This made the Hardibacker good for my bathroom renovation. You'll have to pound it in a few times and apply quite a bit of pressure, but it's easy to make straight lines. I dropped it on my concrete patio and one of the two blades broke. It must be pretty fragile, but at least there are two blades so I can finish the job.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Expensive

Nice Solid Cement Board and Drywall Cutter

I've never tried this expensive cardboard cutter but I'm sold. It works as expected and the big solid grip makes a big difference. Gone are the days of fighting with an office knife. Cutting drywall is also much easier. 1/2 inch pad is challenging but doable. 1/4 inch boards are very easy and fast.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Disappearing
