Works great! I have used this in my aquaponic system to help new fish acclimate. After 3 days the fish stopped dying and this helped to purify the water. I plan to use it all the time.

Typically used in canister filters for mechanical/biological filtration. This ceramic medium is dimpled and slightly roughened to further increase surface area. I did a little experiment and put it on the bottom of a mix of Leica Inorganic Orchid and Volcanic Stone. I like the fact that the increased surface area retains moisture for the roots.

During the Halloween storm my house was damaged and some animals were lost. I only discovered it when the weather got warmer and the stench began to permeate my living space. So I filled some very large tea bags with this zeolite and threw them into the heating channels under the grilles. I never thought about it again until I realized I hadn't smelled anything in weeks. It must have been the zeolite that fixed it. It can't be anything else. Better order more before the price goes up.
