I bought this to measure the strength of my home brew. The hydrometer measures neither apple, wine nor beer. This only measures pure distilled alcohol. I can see this would be a great product if I lived offline and wanted to produce a very high quality product for cash only. I didn't notice the warning. I really can't complain. Says it comes from 0-200 proof, which it does. Unfortunately, this does not measure the alcohol content, but the sugar. The only way to use this is to use it on sugar free spirits to make the tube sink to the bottom. However, as a home brew, almost all beers contain sugar, meaning it's floating in liquid.
