Good solid tent good price love the color

First time was camping on Mount San Jacinto in Southern California. This tent got into terrible conditions at my campsite, which happened to be on the edge of a mountain at about 10,000 feet. The wind was up to 40mph that night and I got so scared that I ended up falling asleep in their tent with another camper (mine is fine, I was just scared). As soon as I secured my tent the weather suddenly picked up (I only used 2 pegs) and there was nothing inside to keep the wind down. To my surprise…

Hazardous Chemicals

This tent has been treated with Tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate (TDCPP) flame retardant. Under California's controversial (and somewhat silly) Proposition 65, it is considered a chemical to cause "cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm." I bought a couple of 15 degree packs and was very impressed with them. They were good holdalls and perfect for our Philmont hike. Lightweight, warm and durable. So I decided to order this new tent from Hyke and Byke. I'm not the most knowledgeable camping reviewer in the world, but I've spent many nights camping as a…

5 stars but be aware.

I bought this tent for an adult who goes to Boy Scout camps. It has room for one person in all of reality. 2 can fit but not comfortable. I knew that beforehand, so it didn't bother me. The tent is ideal for one person with large vestibule equipment. I tested this tent. First I exposed it to strong wind and cold. With all the guy lines and tambour buttonholes used for guy lines, the tent withstood constant 35-40 mph winds with frequent gusts of up to 70 mph. One of the buttonholes began to…
