Reliable Communication Tool for On-The-Go

According to my experience, this gooseneck antenna is a lifesaver for those who need reliable and strong communication on-the-go .It's made of durable fiberglass material which is perfect for outdoor use, and with its BNC connector, it can easily be attached to different types of radios. The only downside is that it can sometimes pick up unwanted signals, but this can be easily solved with a good filter. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs a reliable communication tool

Pros
  • Flexible and adjustable
Cons
  • Fiberglass construction is less durable than metal alternatives

Good antenna as is

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the antenna. It was packaged in a HYS plastic/vinyl "sleeve". I bought the BNC version for my Icom V-86. It fits well with very little play. A gentle squeeze with soft-lined pliers gets the job done quickly. I don't have the opportunity to test it on a dyno, but I can query the same 2m and VHF LMR repeaters as with the factory Icom antenna. It seems to pick up two NWS stations a little better than the factory antenna. I will do more tests in the next

Pros
  • 2m/70cm (144MHz/430MHz) Foldable portable antenna; Gain: 2.15/3.2 dBi;
Cons
  • Not sure
