good light. If you also buy domestic.

Nice skylight. If you are also purchasing the Icon 01981 RV Skylight Dome Inner Dome, please note that this inner dome is very tall at 5 inches and may cause problems if your roof is tapered (like I do with a 3-3/4 inch roof thickness have done). I recommend the Specialty Recreation N1422ELP Garnish as an option as it is 3/4" shorter. It made a huge difference to my setup. This outdoor dome is very good and the customer service from Olga's Icon was amazing.

I like this in Windows & Skylights

I saw a video on YouTube how to install this skylight. I have read many reviews about this product and I am happy to say that I am satisfied with the product and the installation. That skylight wasn't that dark, which I'm glad because the old one above our shower was pretty dark. This one was made in Canada, not China, which is a good thing. It was a bit thicker than the original, which is also a plus. It was pretty easy to get out with a spatula and take your time prying and slicing. I…

  • Nice to use

Measure twice before buying

Changing hurts, my old hail broke, cleaning the old sealant is the biggest flour without damaging the rubber roof, there are no screws in the kit and not a single hole fits the old. Be sure to install it onto the strips of butyl sealant and gently finger tighten the screws until seated in the sealant. But don't overtighten. Leave it overnight and then check all the screws again. Finally coat all screws and edges with RV Self-Leveling Sealant. Don't use silicone sealant as nothing else will ever

  • Lots of positive emotions

We removed the old roof and installed it ourselves!

This was the first draft of our new motorhome when we discovered the leak was due to a large tear in the original skylight. Not to mention that the original skylight was completely opaque due to years of exposure to the sun. We removed the old skylight fairly easily after watching a few YouTube videos. We ordered Icon based on reviews and recommendations from other customers. We chose smoke. It came quickly with no damage. There were fewer pre-drilled screw holes than our old skylight and they…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

RV. A recreational vehicle is actually a vehicle that requires constant maintenance. The skylight on our 2006 fifth wheel was faded and opaque from years of exposure to the ultraviolet sun in southern Oregon. Recent hail made me worried it might break, usually at night during a storm many miles from home on the first night of camping (then something breaks) so after reading a lot of reviews I settled on the ICON. They seem to be the highest rated "parts industry". Arrived very quickly, well…

Pros
  • Stable test results
