Checks the rotation of both the active line and the de-energized motor with one device.

In over forty years of experience I have used many three phase and phase sequence testers but none have been as practical and complete as this one. The need to reverse and reconnect the gauge to rotate the motor, which is used on de-energized motor connections to obtain correct mechanical rotation of the motor shaft, helps to avoid connecting the gauge to a live circuit. I use phase tapes in the same color as the measurement probes for the linear and motor circuits. So when I connect the motor,
