Description of πŸ—‘οΈ If You Care Tall Kitchen Bags, 13 Gallon, 12 Pack

PREMIUM FOOD WASTE BAGS: If You Care Tall Kitchen Bags come as pack of 12 – 13-gallon bags that are best for collecting food scraps and waste, and for use with kitchen garbage pails. CERTIFIED COMPOSTABLE: The bags are 100% certified compostable and should be composted at home, or in your municipal or commercial compost facilities where available. BETTER BAGS: Bags are made from the starch of non-GMO potatoes, and blended with a compostable polymer. The potatoes used are grown for starch only and not intended for food, so they require no irrigation, only natural rainfall, which is better for the environment and creates a stronger bag. PLASTIC FREE: Bags contain no plasticizers, which migrate and cause mechanical properties of the bags to deteriorate and thereby shortening its shelf life. QUALITY WITH INTEGRITY: If You Care kitchen and household items are carefully crafted to have the least environmental impact possible, while at the same time, delivering the highest quality products.

Not suitable for 11 gallon containers

I like the If You Care brand but they are smaller than standard 13 gallon kitchen bags and feel very flimsy. They will not fit in our 11 gallon Sterilite trash can. I was looking for an eco friendly bin liner to replace our Green n Pack bags which are great but the price has gone up significantly at Revain. I was finally able to find a good plant-based substitute: Hippo Sak Handled Tall Kitchen Bags, 13 Gallon (Pack of 45).

Pros
  • NO PLASTIC: Bags do not contain plasticizers which migrate and affect the mechanical properties of the bags, thus reducing their shelf life.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Cool idea, practical application seems to be missing

The bin liner idea is great - it can be composted which is great. I had no problem with pre-composting; However, I had a problem storing the bag in the bin without breaking it. The bag just didn't fit in the 13 gallon trash can I have. They appear to be a little thinner, but I had no trouble tearing them. If the design was always better suited to use in my bin I would recommend them but at the moment I can't.

Pros
  • COMPOSTING CERTIFICATE: The bags are 100% compostable and should be composted at home or in municipal or commercial composting facilities whenever possible.
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

unusable; they always crack or start to decompose in the bin.

I've been loyal to the If You Care brand for years because I couldn't find any other brand of biodegradable/compostable bin liners on the market that is as environmentally friendly. But I struggled with that for many years. They snap instantly even if you try to take them off the reel (I'll add my experience with the Lawn and Leaf bags). I often have to use 2-3 bags at a time to get the power I need for my trash or just because they rip and I have to put in a new one (and sometimes rips etc.)…

Pros
  • PREMIUM FOOD WASTE BAG: If You Care Tall Kitchen Bags come in 12-13 gallon packs which are best for picking up leftovers and waste, as well as for use with kitchen waste. Bucket.
Cons
  • A few little things
