Amazing sound! for receiver and amplifier

I bought this to stream music to my vintage gear. Sansui G7000 and Klipsch Heresy II. Set up Apple Music to play high-resolution, lossless audio. The dynamic range can really rival that of vinyl. The build quality is solid and the device has a certain weight. You will not be disappointed!

Better than expected

I have a 3K+ iTunes library on my iPod that I wanted to play through my stereo. This is an old Audio Research rig, ML CLS ll, CAT, S Faber etc. The sound quality from the iFi Zen Blue V2/Power Supply V2 is fantastic - better than I expected. Highly recommended!

  • Feels good
Cons
  • AC outlet required

Good product. You can check the connection of the device

This Bluetooth DAC works as advertised and offers flexibility. My only downside is that I have to disconnect one device to allow the other to connect. I wish it was always open like my Sonos. I don't see it in the device options in Spotify unless I manually connect.

  • Constant test results

Big advantage - great DAC.

This was my replacement Audioengine BT-1. The Zen build is much better, the range (version 2) is excellent and slightly better than the audio engine. However, the sound is the most impressive feature. Bluetooth has always had some compression/harshness in the midrange. It didn't go away, but it got a lot better. In fact, fi Zen has almost the same DA conversion as oppo BD-105 when streaming LDAC at 990kbps. With a high-resolution wired connection, the $1,300 Oppo will likely outperform the Zen.

Frustrating pairing problem

Easy setup and great sound from Revain Music and other sources. Update: After realizing that the device doesn't support the promised pairing (up to eight devices), I contacted iFi and found that the firmware update mentioned on their webpage is not available for Apple users. They sent me a shipping label. I sent them the device, but they couldn't return it to me for a long time. When it arrived, I soon found that nothing had changed. Connecting a device is normal; go to another - it's not good.

  • Regular price

IFI Zen Blue is as good as the source will allow and is intended to be used. I have fiber optic to the house 1Gig up and down. Wi-Fi 802.11ac 5GHz signal delivered to nearby Fire Cube. This is the purest music I've heard streaming over Bluetooth. Easy to mate, built like a Sherman tank. I wanted to see what I could get out of streaming music over the internet. That wasn't enough for me. But not the fault of the MFP. You cannot get CD quality if the source quality is lower than this quality. The
