Red Igloo Legend 0.5 Gallon Beverage Cooler Review

I love the size of this cooling jug. That's enough for the amount of water I actually drink while I'm at work. I fill my bowl with ice and then the rest with water and it usually stays cool for 8 hours. The only drawback is the handle, which tends to come loose, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

We had high hopes for this product as our other Igloo products are great. However, the spout on this jug kept coming off and when you put it back in, it still tended to leak when you drank from it. This was disappointing as we only used it a couple of times over 3 weeks before the spout broke. Also, the plastic handle was very thin. This drinks cooler leaks, simply put the lid doesn't screw on well and although it has a slot for a gasket it's not included and again the threads The lid is of extremely poor quality. This isn't what I expected from Igloo Legend, it's a piece of junk. It looks like a fake / "fake". but the sticker and plastic tag indicate it's made by Igloo Products Corp. was produced. I recommend NOT buying this model. Other models like 1qt and larger coolers are of much higher quality,

What can I say? I love this igloo brand. I have four. You have the perfect product in the style and sizes I need. They have always been reliable to me no matter the temperature. And the price is great. I keep one in the car when I'm outside on very hot days. Either on the beach or in a kayak or at a fair or a concert. Coffee stays hot and iced drinks stay cold. This is the WORST water jug we have ever had and since several kids have been playing sports we have used every type of water bottle/jug imaginable. On first use, when you tilt it slightly to take a sip from the straw, the water pours out of the bottom of the straw - not a drop, but a full stream of water.
