In search of the perfect lunch bucket, I returned 3 cool boxes. THAT'S IT! Finally. Add photo, holds my water, juices, thermos of soup, thermos of coffee, everything I need for my 12 hours at work.

It's a nice little fridge but it's not the one I ordered. "I LOVE GETTING WHAT I PAY FOR WHEN I BUY SOMETHING." On that question, they declined. THE REFRIGERATOR I ORDERED SHOULD HAVE PLASTIC HINGES ON THE FRONT TO ADD A LOCK. WHAT I HAVE IN THE PICTURE TO THE RIGHT DOESN'T HAVE THESE HINGES. This cooler also arrived later than expected. So, despite these few negative facts, I think I'll leave it based on the price.

My sons are working 1/2 mile deep in a coal mine for a summer internship and have to bring their own lunch as the journey is so long over days. This keeps their food cold all day and is an ordeal for sitting in the mine's dark recesses where they are pushed and kicked. The locking mechanism keeps your bait safe no matter what the mine throws at you. Several other miners had the exact same lunch box and said it was perfect for their needs this summer.

I generally like the cooler very much. It's definitely well made and does a great job of keeping you cool throughout the day. However, in my opinion, it has a serious design flaw. The notch where you put your fingers to hold the cooler when opening it is too shallow for your fingers to go deep enough to hold the cooler securely. The lid closes very well, which is good. This cooler appears to be very well made, there are no issues but there is one issue I must highlight. The website states that the external dimensions are 12.4 x 11.5 x 12.5. Customs service. I have no idea how they got that because the cooler on the outside is actually 10.5 inches wide, 10.0 inches deep and 12.5 inches high not counting the handle. Inside, it measures 9.0 inches wide, 8.5 inches deep, and 9.0 inches tall, which is important if you intend to use 10 x 10 inch Cooler Shock Packs.

I have mixed feelings about this cool box. This morning I packed it with 2 bottles of frozen water, one room temperature, two 6 inch cold subs I got from the deli and a banana. I work in a concrete room and the average temperature is around 80 degrees. I opened it around 5am and both bottles melted, no more ice. I've been using it for a month and a half and it's a struggle every time. I've mostly used regular ice cubes, but got so frustrated with the inability to keep the contents cool that I now use blocks of ice that can be frozen and reused.
