🔧 Upgraded Threaded Drain Plug for Igloo Replacement Review

Bought a new radiator that didn't have a drain plug. I drilled a hole slightly smaller than the plug and used plenty of clear RTV in the install. No leaks so far and easy to empty, unlike tipping the cool box. Easy to install and great mod for my cooler

Thanks @DRAGUN for the feedback. Before seeing your review I was struggling to find an OEM part. I was able to repair an identical cooler. Please note that the outer hole is slightly smaller. I didn't have to change the hole. A little push and he came in. There are no leaks. Thank you!

Fits my 120L Igloo Cooler but leaks. I had to dry it out and use a waterproof seal to keep it from constantly leaking. There is no seal in the lid, another leak. At least cry. This is NOT a factory replacement for the original. I'd rather stick a stick in the hole than buy this miserable replacement. Save money and find a rubber stopper.

This is a good drain plug but it doesn't fit my igloo cooler and the seller doesn't give you enough information to tell you to know before ordering. The hole in my radiator is 7/8" in diameter and the thread diameter is about 1". The seller does not accept returns even though the packaging is still sealed. I found the right drain plug, the igloo triple lock. Too bad I didn't order it beforehand.

I lost the cork stopper on my large igloo fridge and used the 2 liter stopper but it leaks. I saw this part at my local sporting goods store, checked the Revain price and was able to save about $1. A replacement Igloo drain plug was purchased to replace a drain plug that broke on my Igloo fridge. The product has been described as a factory replaceable plug and is universal for freezer cabinets. I bought this to add drain plugs on several coolers that don't have a drain plug. I would have preferred a smaller drain plug, but if you drill a radiator without the previous bolt, you end up with thick insulation that requires a longer drain plug.
