Great price, did the job for the Astro 4.3

Replaced the original spool with a 2003 Astro 4.3. This role was a perfect fit and the van ignited without hesitation! The original is riveted to two staples. Do yourself a favor and grab (2) #8 Γ— 1-1/4 machine screws, nuts, and lockwashers. You will wear out the rivets and you will have to put it back together.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I really have no complaints about it, everything is fine

The factory bracket holes match up well. If it was never replaced

Worked fine for my 2003 Chevy Blazer with a 4.3L Vortec. However, there are two problems. The connector did not engage (fixed). I had to cut off the protrusion on the coil and cut off the clip on the connector. Also, no mounting hardware was included. The factory bracket holes match up well. If it has never been replaced you will need to drill out the rivets and install this new spool with a lock nut and bolt. In general it worked fine.

Avoid using if possible

professional mechanic so I don't usually check these low quality parts because I shouldn't use them. This part was ordered as a test for a tricky ignition problem and I wanted to make sure my other 2 used coils I have as test blocks weren't the problem. Well, that part worked well enough to make me think it was something else, but it wasn't. After several hours testing other parts I found the main problem and the real problem was getting everything set up because that coil was also too weak…

Short life of this coil

Editing my previous review - The seller contacted me immediately about the issue and said the coil was covered by a lifetime warranty and asked if I would like a replacement, which I did. I received my replacement in 2 days! That's great service! This coil has worked great on my Chevrolet Silverado 4.3 V6 for about 5 months. But last week my car suddenly stopped and then it starts and stops immediately. When I finally got it to work there was P0351 - Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some errors

Five stars for the best replacement parts

GM ignition coil, that's what I expected! UPDATE: I bought this reel four months ago today 10/15/2020. Came home the other day and the next morning it wouldn't start. I checked the fuel pressure, everything is fine. I had an old coil in the back of my Tahoe as it was still in good condition. At the same time replacement of the distributor and the coil. So I made an educated guess and reconnected the old original coil to test and my truck started right away so I replaced it in about 15 minutes…

Pros
  • That's amazing
Cons
  • Not bad
