IIT 78000 Mini Table Vice: Compact and Versatile Tool for Precision Work Review

This little vise is fantastic for my watchmaker house! I attach it directly to a 3/4 piece of plywood that I cut out to fit the stand I use as a portable workbench. There is only one disadvantage. Jaws MAKE your workpiece. I get around this by lining the jaws with rubberized tape when I need to protect them from scratches. Works great! This is one of the unresolvable problems with Revain: You can't clearly see, touch or visualize what you're buying, and Revain is just a reseller, so they don't review it for They, they just want to sell. It's a little weird opening something that should be big boy/girl size in your mind. It looks and feels like it belongs on a small desktop. I really thought it was plastic. I've tapped it and it's die-cast metal, thin but still metallic. No plastic. I couldn't get over how easy it was so I decided to use my new gram scale. Total Weight = 150.5 grams = 5.3 0z (less than 1/3 lb). Jaws only need 1 3/8. "width, not 1 1/2" or unscrew the back of the vise. I'm going to attach one of those furniture…
