The key fob had to be opened for the service, the black rubber cover had to be cut through! God, another silly version of Mini Folk designed to dig deep into your pocket! I saw this ring, it looked great and cheap. Result - works great. FOB now works as it should. And you know, I didn't have to spend a couple of $100 bills at the dealer. bam!

I have a mini r58 type and it says it fits. It fits decently around Fob. (Sometimes I have to glue the top caps in the right place to make them snug. The problem I have is that when I put it in the ignition, it doesn't fit properly. Because of this, the key fob doesn't fit as smoothly slip into the output. Maybe someday a benefit will fit in. But now I have to manually push and pull the key to lock or unlock it in place.

I love that I was able to replace the key ring - my previous one was silver and all the silver was worn off the white plastic and it looked bad. I've had this for a few months now, no signs of the red color fading, it attaches securely to my keychain and I've had no problems. When I first got it I thought wow it's so thin it won't last long. But so far I've been very pleased, it fits securely and looks perfect, and I bang on it pretty hard - I throw it on counters, bags, drawers - so fail it.

Order this as soon as you receive your Mini as the factory edges of the key fob are WEARING and chipped. This replacement is a very quick and easy replacement that will bring new life to your mini key fob. Pretty much, I'd say it accounts for about 10% of the hue of the car's paintwork (specifically, it's a bit darker than the car's paintwork).
