Very nice soft material. There's no "plastic" feel that many raincoats have when it looks like you're wearing a garbage bag. My son loves the colors on it. An added bonus was a small compass on the sleeve that seems to work properly. Can be used as a windbreaker and you can detach the hood.

My son loves the chin strap. Hoods usually annoy him, but he left these ones alone. He wore it to outdoor day camp and it was raining. When I picked him up 4 hours later, his shirt was slightly damp. So it wasn't 100 percent waterproof in heavy rain. However, he didn't feel uncomfortable. I think it will work well in light rain or less time in heavy rain.

I love this raincoat for my little one! Waterproof, pockets, hood with chin strap, reflective details and SO CUTE2t for my skinny 23 month old and 4t for my skinny short 3.5 year old. I bought them a little too big on purpose (knowing the 3T would probably fit better than the 4T) but now I think the 3T will be loose too so I said a little more than expected.
