As a RESULT of my tests, I determined that the Ikea Steel Rail`s flimsy design caused my kitchen items to fall off easily. The rail is not sturdy enough to hold heavier items making it useless for me. The only positive aspect is that it's easy to install. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the lack of function and poor quality..

I really liked this system because of the hooks that came with it. These are rings and cannot be removed by taking the pot off the shelf. And it's true, and how it will work. However, the railing itself attaches to the wall by attaching two screws to the wall at each end and then sliding the bar and bar holders over the screws. I'm afraid that without careful handling the entire rod block will come loose from the wall. Of course, the rings will still be attached, but that won't do much good…
