Description of Ikelite Battery Module DS 125 DS 160

Rechargeable NiMH battery pack #4066.5 is compatible only with Ikelite's DS125,DS160, and DS161 strobe. It is the only battery pack usable with the DS125, DS160,and DS161. The rear section of the strobe is the NiMH battery pack for the strobe.

Not worth the investment

Despite having high expectations, this battery module failed to deliver reliable performance.As a result of my tests, I determined that the electronics were faulty and caused frequent malfunctions. The pros include easy installation and decent battery life, but unfortunately the negative outweighs the positive. Investing in this product proved to be a waste of money, and as a hesitant buyer I would not recommend purchasing..

Longer lasting battery

Using the DS125 Ikelite with these battery packs for 10 years I found them to be reliable for two long dives a day and lasted about 2 years before dropping to one dive a day. load. Upgrading to a DS160 with a lithium ion battery turned out to be a mistake as the two lithium ion batteries I bought were unreliable and could not ship via USPS. I chose this more reliable NiMH battery pack to use with both my DS-125 and DS-160 sub-strobes.
