Imachinist S621214: The Ultimate 62 Inch 2 Inch Bi Metal Tool Review

I bought this to use on a really cheap bottom band saw. I only use it to cut aluminum, but something was wrong with the old blade that made it not even cut as satisfactorily. I installed this blade and now the saw works pretty well. I accidentally cut a piece of 1/2 inch thick aluminum with it yesterday and it worked great. The saw didn't quite get the job done, but the blade certainly did. I don't know if I'll ever be able to use it to cut steel, so I'll do all of that.

I received the saw blade on time and put it on my band saw yesterday. I cut strips of walnut, cherry, and hard maple for kitchen utensils; while the blade cuts perfectly. The 1/2" width makes a big difference when cutting hardwood: very straight lines and no sticking. Time will tell how well the blade performs, but as of today it's 5 stars. I make custom pieces out of wine barrels and most of the time I need to cut hardwood (oak) but sometimes I also need to cut steel so I wanted to upgrade the blade on my Ryobi 9" bandsaw but I was me not sure how well it would work so after a bit of internet searching I came across this 62" saw blade. a bit nervous but I tried it anyway and it fits perfectly, a bit tight to insert at first , but it suits this blade perfectly, very sharp and strong and stays true when cutting, don't be surprised…
