DO NOT BUY for cables and connectors

The product looks good until you throw in a battery and it doesn't work at all. I ordered one and it didn't work at all. Tried different batteries with no success. So they sent me a new one. The new one worked fine for about 10 minutes, then decided it didn't want to work anymore. Tried new batteries with the same ones. Very dissatisfied. There are better products than this. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Such a waste of time to return and refund both products. Might save time ordering from a

Great economical tester.

Fast shipping and well packaged by seller. Great price for a good product - excellent value for money. The product worked well with CAT5e (STP/Shielded Twisted Pair and UTP/Unshielded Twisted Pair), CAT6 and RJ11 cables. The tester added instructions that were clear, concise, and fit for purpose (despite containing misspelled words). DOA, but it's a simple fix - you get what you pay for

Like you I probably wanted the cheapest ethernet tester since I don't test ethernet ports/cables very often. I found this ad and thought it looked perfect! And that's how it would have been if DOA hadn't existed. I cracked it open to see what was wrong and the 9v adapter had bad solder which broke. I soldered it again and now it works! Exceptional tester - Cat 5e cable

If you need to test network cables for any reason, this tester is a very good investment! We have installed a network cable on two floors of our house. We bought cables and pass-through connectors in bulk and laid our own cable routes.
