The lens is excellent and takes high quality photos. Simply position your phone over what you're photographing so the camera stays steady. I prop him up with books to keep the camera steady. If you try to hold the camera in your hands, it will be difficult to get a clear picture, but there are many ways to fix the camera.

Every time I try to save photos outside of the application, an error occurs - there is no way to access macros outside of the application. Update - finally I was able to export via image screenshot - which is less than preferred and as you can see it takes great pictures at 800x, 1600x, 2400x and 3200x. Assembly instructions are good. It comes with instructions on how to attach the lens to the phone accurately. Comes with a neat key case. After a formal introduction with instructions, it was easy to use and fun to explore. You will be able to see things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It worked really well with my Iphone 8 plus and the ease of storage makes it handy for storing snapshots. I highly recommend this if you are interested in science and research beyond the naked eye!

My kids loved this microscope and had so much fun with it. The other day when we were camping, they climbed a tree and got a lot of bugs. I gave this lens 3 stars because after some training it allows you to see some very fine detail up close that you can't see with your bare face would eye. I use it for forensics and when I travel around the country I always look for something very compact and light. Well, this lens is so small and light that you are more likely to lose, drop or step on it unless you are VERY careful.
