Nice upgrade from the stock derailleur

This derailleur performs well and has a stiffer feel compared to the stock derailleur. And it's cheaper than changing the normal one after it's bent.

Good product! best in shift

I got this shifter as a replacement for a bent one on my Versys-X 300 from 2019. It fits perfectly and is longer than the original to fit my foot better. Ease of installation.

ideal for xr650l

ideal for xr650l. I haven't fallen on this one yet, so I don't know if it's stronger. Although my original cracked the crankcase cover, I hope this one bends better. Although one had a spring-loaded tip.

NOT suitable for XR650L.

There is always a chance the wrong derailleur was in the box but the one I received fits the splined shaft but will not allow upshifts when adjusted to the same position is. like the original on my 650L. There was a problem with the mechanical release.

Parts better than stock

XR650L - if it fits. I think it sits a little lower on the foot than the stock derailleur and you can't take it up a notch or it will hit the bike. I suppose you could grind it up if you really wanted it to get bigger. But it has no real advantage over stocks. As said in another review, it doesn't look like it will bend if you drop the bike and that might suck for you. I decided to reset the normal one and leave it as a spare.

Works very well and allows the derailleur to sit slightly higher than the full spline on the stem

As others have pointed out, it sits at a different "level" than the stock lever. This was what I was looking for, I needed something higher but not as much as a "spline" on a brick. freedom of movement. You really don't see the modification. It worked really well for me in MX boots. The first picture shows it seated, the black mark on the side guard is the top of the stock derailleur in the highest position it could move without hitting the sprocket cap.
