Like a good breeze for strength

Bought for my left handed wife. She had never worked with ergonomic scissors and her first impression was happy. She described it as a perfect fit, comfortable and SHARP. I know KAI for their ultra sharp and reliable nail clippers, but now this is another addition to a good experience with KAI. I haven't rated the durability yet as it's only been a month since we bought the scissors.

You're wasting your time if you're left-handed, BUY IT MEOW!

Left-handed, I know, right? Nothing in life is easy, laughs. Seriously, we've been using Fiskers since I met my mom's sewing scissors. Never been unhappy. Even buy her secateurs lol. However, they say these and wanted to see how they were doing. And will replace Fiskers with this brand when they wear out. Great blade and cut and the wife says it's handy for left-handers as it's true left-handed scissors.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Almost never

Wow! What great scissors!

I wasn't expecting much from these scissors and thought I'd use them as a spare, maybe not even for cutting fabric. But they are very sharp and very comfortable for left-handers. As with all fabric scissors, you should never use them for anything other than cutting fabric. I still have some (very expensive) fabric scissors that I sent in for repairs and sharpening. I sew a lot so having two excellent fabric scissors makes my day extra special!

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Damaged

The second pair was almost as good but didn't seem quite as perfect.

My own fault but the first pair of these things I bought (which were excellent) were confiscated by the TSA when I forgot to take them out of my backpack before the trip. The second pair was almost as good, but didn't seem to cushion the hinge mechanism as well. That said, I highly recommend them and would give five stars if they matched.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • High price

My favorite left-handed scissors

I carry a lot of scissors because I had to use right-handed scissors in my craft class when I was a kid. I've tried other left handed scissors (Gingher, Mundial) for cutting fabric and these are my favorites. These are the only ones that don't leave me with jagged edges. After using them for four years, I decided to take the plunge and try out their 10 inch left-handed sewing scissors. My only request is that I would like Kai to make more sizes of left handed scissors.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Some problems

Where have you been all my life?

If you're left-handed and love to sew, these scissors are for you. Lightweight and comfortable to hold, they're great for working with a wide range of fabrics - even cutting intricate shapes through a few layers of faux fur without slipping. As with true left-handed scissors, the top blade is on the left. . This may take some getting used to for lefties used to right-handed or both scissors, but once you get used to not having to look "over" the blade, it becomes much easier to see what you're…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

The best scissors I have ever had but with small handles

To be clear I have had the KAI 1005 for over 20 years. These were the best scissors I've ever owned. You can see in my photo the N5210L are identical and they are true left handed scissors. With my old pair I cut everything from flimsy fabrics and wrapping paper to corrugated cardboard and plastic buckets. I'll probably epoxidize the thumb grip and leave it as a backup. They are still better than my Fiskars. Be aware that the grips are smaller than Fiskars. One of the 1 star comments is that…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not recommended. Don't cut anything thick. And they cut crooked.

I bought TWO of these left-handed scissors, one here and one directly from KaiScissors. Both work the same way: BAD. First, they don't cut through anything thicker. The thickness of the scissors I replaced ... and the scissors up ... absolutely no problem cutting. Second, they don't cut straight. They tend to lean to the left. I don't want to hear any excuse from the manufacturer that "it takes a little getting used to". I've been left-handed my whole life and used regular scissors. And they…
