I had an earlier model (no backlit keys) that worked fine. Until I lost the Bluetooth connection after 5 minutes of keyboard inactivity. I used the earlier model so much that the lettering on the buttons (A, S, D) wore off. I don't berate ClamCase too much for this as I type aggressively and use the keyboard a lot. this is my third in three or four years. One was replaced under warranty. The rest was immediately replaced after 1 year. The best hardshell case available, but the recessed hinges "work" with a thin plastic case that cracks and fails. A design flaw that can be fixed easily and cheaply. You need to widen/deep the hinge section molded into the plastic section body to distribute more stress over a larger surface area. Maybe they should pay me for the offer?
