I prefer sticky sandpaper to velcro paper. Seems to actually work better than velcro. I glue it directly to the felt pad on the grinder. nothing hurts

These rims are quite heavy. The back tension is easily released with the attached pull tab. The abrasive proved to be very resistant. I've just used some of these to sand down some doors before applying spar paint and have been very pleased. I was even able to continue using the discs removed to hand sand parts.
