I bought it because my dog "grazes" but also tries to "dig in" his food when we put it on his plate and he doesn't feel like eating it (ie nose until everything falls out the traditional dog harness. Very durable and ideal for our two German shepherds. You can fill it just under the top for less splashing and it will last all day. Easy to clean.

I personally wouldn't need them if I knew they didn't have a flat side. I thought they did but it was my fault to be fair. Otherwise they are good. If you don't want or want ones that have a flat edge on one side, I would recommend these. They look solid.
