Cannot be used with batteries

The description is misleading! They claim to ship without a battery, but what that really means is NO BATTERY OPTION TO USE. If I had known that, I would not have bought this scale. We need one that can be moved around our battery storage facility. For that reason alone I am disappointed. The scale is good and seems to work properly.

Could not get RS232 to work with two weights

I have not had any problems with other RS232 scales before but have not been able to get them to work even after a few weeks of tech support. I've used an RS232 scale before, so it's not as if I'm unfamiliar with what I'm ordering. All other scaling functions work. The reviews claimed that it wasn't possible to change the units, which I felt was wrong. Just press the unit button and it will toggle between lb/oz, grams and kg.

PERFECT! on stationery and school supplies

I really want to give 5 stars but why make such a beast out of a car that can accurately weigh a small child and doesn't have a choice of units of measure? Simply adding this option would have made the scale a lot more versatile, but other than that it's such a large and well-functioning scale. When you put your parts on the platform it goes almost straight to the weight, for example my other scales which are very similar to this one, when you put 50 gram parts on the platform it reads maybe 40
