Do not buy this item. A typical example of cheap Chinese junk for the American market. The plastic electrical connectors failed when I tried to connect the power wires. I had to remove the wires from the plug and use the caps to connect the wires to the home wiring. I bought two units and both were installed askew from base to lamp.
