I plugged in an outlet to run an unwanted mat for my electric bear that's under my trash can. It happens a little earlier and stays a little later than I would like, but not by much. He is reliable and consistent. I wish I had bought one built into the front panel of the socket for a neater look - it currently sits on top of the socket (which is obscured by a plug).

I have a floor lamp that gets very little light I. So the sensors that are screwed into the socket don't work during the day. I bought this and installed it near the edge of the canopy and it works great. The hardest part of the installation was the wiring, as the wiring attached to the sensor was not long enough to reach the bracket. I would set it up so that it doesn't get wet if possible.

The biggest problem was that the wires were too short to go through the normal thickness of the outside wall of our house, so I had to splice a few inches more wire to each of the 3 wires who came to your product. It took longer, and because of those three convenience wires, it was VERY DIFFICULT to run them all through the electrical conduit in our house to connect to our fixed wire. Installation would be much easier if just a few inches were added to the 3 wires.

I always order 1 extra item because I need 2 working sensors but no success so far. In the middle of daylight I have 1 light working as it should and the other turning on and off every 2 minutes. This is not the location of the sensors as they are both pointing in the same direction and are 30 feet apart. I'll try 1 more but if that doesn't work Revain will return 3 of these. I will update the rating when I have better luck.

This is the second one I have installed in this light. Unfortunately the first one stopped working after a few months and the light stayed on.
