I don't know what Merlin's magical costume is like, but this one seems very easy. I put this on my child when I got it in the mail to check the size, but when I tried to put it on to sleep the zipper was already broken. Seems cheap. I saved $10 on Merlin, but maybe I just bought a useless product.

Slightly lighter than the Merlin costume. If you want to try Magic Gyrfalcon but don't want to spend $40, I will definitely try this first. This is a cheaper option for our daughter in kindergarten as she has trouble sleeping there. I really like that the hand strap is tighter than the Magic Merlin which only has the hand holes wide open. We have a small of this brand which can be compared to a large magic gyrfalcon - see attached photos to see them side by side and on top of each other.

This costume is MAGIC! Easy and uncomplicated. It looks like it will be heavy, but it's light and soft.
