Used to buy one of the rubber packaging. This is made of very thin plastic. It probably won't offer the same protection, but it's thinner/lighter than rubber. Both options are well done and it really depends on what you want. I'm sticking with it because I wanted a thinner/lighter protection. While it doesn't hold an iPad as securely as a rubber, I MUCH prefer that it doesn't have a large lip running along the edge of the iPad. I bought 2, grey, gift and rose gold for me. I will comment. The construction is very good, except I kind of cracked a small corner, and it's very sharp. If I had to buy again I would definitely do it. Durable, good price. Would recommend buying.

I love this iPad case. Particularly low weight. Nicely done. There's even room for an Apple Pencil that works with the 2018 6th Gen Apple 9.7. There are also two holes on the underside of the pen holder (see photo) through which the pen can be pushed out very easily.

I recently ordered this case in black and thought everything would be fine. The packaging was good and the item was in good condition. I figured out how the Apple Pencil placement worked and was pleased. However, when I was taking some notes for my accounting class, my hand simply rested on the back of the iPad for support. I made contact with the soft side of the lid that makes contact with the iPad's screen when closed. After a while I noticed my fingers getting dirty from this soft material.

After using this case continuously for about 3 or 4 months, the part where you put the pencil left scratches on my Apple Pencil. I consider this absolutely unacceptable and negates practically all other positive properties of the case/lid. How can the product you sell damage the very pencil it protects? I really like this case and I want to give it 5 stars. But there is one significant drawback due to which it has 1 star. It smells like rotten fish! No joke! When I first received it, the inside of the case smelled odd and we assumed it would weather and be fine. It's only getting worse. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it smells like rotten fish.
