Type of review

This is a really late review as I have had these speakers for about 2 years now. The whole time they played on a Polk Audio 5000.5 amplifier. Oh, and I have 4 of these in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. With the top off you could swear there was a band playing. Crystal clear sound for any music you listen to. They are mounted in sealed covers. I have 100 watts going straight to each of them. The bass performance from these little speakers is also amazing. They sound as good today as they did the day I…

2006 Tundra with factory JBL system

Just finished installing on my 2006 Tundra. Except that Toyota and JBL might have made this one of the most difficult systems to understand. In any case, these speakers sound very powerful. I think it took me longer to figure out which wires were (+) and (-) than to remove the plates and connect the speaker. By the way, the red cable (+)! The bass is not very deep, but tight. That may be because I still have a factory JBL amp installed and I think it uses an active crossover. Also, I was able…

Beautiful car sound

Installed on 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rear Passenger Doors. This 2 ohm 6.5 replaced the OEM Boston Acoustic 6.5. The original system is a 288W amp. A power delivery speaker of about 70 watts or whatever that 12 year old amp is promoting now. It took less than 1 hour with no changes to the doors. I left the factory door grilles for the time being, but I will cut them out and mount the door panel supports, since everything fits so far. regular grilles in the door panels are very close to the…

Great price, good sound, endless quality

I installed four of these in my 1955 Pontiac Chieftain which came with a 400w Kenwood Bluetooth amp. Not wanting to start cutting holes in my vintage car, I made a console box for these four speakers. They sound great and reproduce the highs and mids very well. There is some bass response, but as expected it's limited. After all, this is a 6.5-inch speaker, not a subwoofer. The speakers sound nice and loud, with very little distortion. Even at high volume. I also like that the "tweeter" is…

highly recommended best in automotive and automotive electronics

I really like these speakers. He originally bought an Infinity reference because of a small door, but Crutchfield sells an Infinity reference board that allows this speaker to be mounted in the same room. FYI, Nissan Leaf Auto, I have these front and rear speakers now. These speakers pack considerable volume and are also very sensitive, which is an important fact for our rather modest improvement over the standard speakers, as well as a noticeable improvement over the Infinity reference…

Powerful, clean, balanced. Honda Ridgeline 2011

I'm not a music lover. I've been driving cars with barebones audio systems for years. I then bought a car with a factory Harmon Kardon system and was amazed at how good the car sounded. When the car was smashed, I tried to play the audio. Super clear vocals backed by punchy bass that I enjoy not having the car next to me. After many reviews I bought it. This purchase was driven in part by the shallow installation depth available in 1st generation Honda combline doors. They fit without…
