I am a tattoo artist and always try to use the product on myself before offering it to my clients. I had a small cut on my arm so I placed a small square piece of Ink Guard over it. I took it off after 3 days of visiting the pool, showering daily etc. The film stayed in place and the cut healed. Now I'm sure I can use this product for my customers, 5 stars!

I tried when I couldn't get Dermshield, several customers reported that there was sticky glue left on their tattoo. Not worth it, will never use again.

DO NOT BUY! Literally impossible to get off, it left a horrible residue on my husbands tattoo and 90% sure it will be ruined! IT DOESN'T FLY OFF RIGHT and literally sticks to the tattoo we're still trying to remove😭 stay away from that and just use Repair Derma instead. Very disappointed and honestly wish I could sue or something 🤣

I went to a tattoo artist who used this particular cover it is so simple and easy to use. Tattoos healed well with it, no scabs, and the glue is pretty good - usually waterproof if you don't stick properly, there was absolutely no residue after I removed it. Just make sure the surrounding skin is dry, flat and smooth against the skin and should form a good watertight seal. When removing, I recommend holding it under warm running water for a while. According to the instructions on the packaging,

High tack adhesives cause an unusual number of side effects, ranging from incomplete removal of the dressing to clogged pores. A case of an allergic reaction. A case of skin discoloration. Back to Dermshield for my clients. We hope that more research and development will be done on this product.

I have this on hand to protect new tattoos or to isolate and protect problems (infection or irritation if they occur). This material is easy to use and protects the tattoo when applied to clothing. I like to only use it for the first few days to protect my new work from problems at the most likely time, and then delete it. After that I heal dry, because a dry wound is a healing wound. I've been working on a full sleeve but have found that if I try to use larger pieces I'll end up with a leaky…

Easy to use once you get the hang of it! Basically, it's a giant transparent patch with no absorbent material. These "second skin" products are generally much more comfortable than the cellophane you wrap fresh tattoos in. If you get wet or try to remove it shortly after application, it comes off very easily.
