I ordered this replacement because one of our bunnies chewed off the end of the original. Works just as well as the original. Since then, the rabbit has checked the cable.

I don't know why they all wear out as there are no moving parts, but thanks to this the temperature controller works properly again. A necessary evil, I think, to protect my fish.

The Inkbird C206 I bought worked fine, apart from a completely incomprehensible (and unpredictable) behavior where you had to "trick" it into turning it on or off half the time by you changed the settings. 1 year later and the probe is out so I buy another one. Now it's permanently off by a few degrees and unusable. Unfortunately, I bought 2 of these sensors at the time.
