Description of Inkesky Tofu Water Extractor - Enhance Flavor by Draining Moisture from Firm Tofu

【WHY NEED TOFU PRESS?】Removes water from Tofu to improve taste. Pressed tofu is critical for recipes such as salads, stir-fried dishes or barbecues. 【USAGE】Press tofu in 15-30 minutes, remove water with drain. 【CHOOSE TOFU】Choose firm/extra-firm tofu(12~16 oz weight) you can find in local market. PLEASE DO NOT PRESS SOFT TOFU!. 【IMPROVED DESIGN】Use one screw instead of two as is common. More convenient to use and can better keep tofu shape. 【EASY to STORE】Inkesky tofu press is smaller than others, but the tofu volume to press is equal to other tofu press.

Poor product design

There are a few things I don't like: As soon as you press on a block of Wholefoods tofu, it flattens out and its edges flare out past the rim of the holder. The green plastic "belt" with the screw inside will not sit flat on the surface after everything is assembled as it has a protrusion all the way around. You'll need to use an extra plate or something to put underneath to catch the liquid dripping from the sides.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Reduce pressing time to 20 minutes, easy to use and easy to clean!

Excellent press. I like this MUCH MORE than the bamboo press we had. This reduces the pressing time to around 20 minutes. It drains a lot of water and is pretty durable so you can just put it on the counter. The only downside I would say is that if you want to tone your abs like we do, the tofu loses its shape a bit. This is true of every press we've tried, but I've included 2 pictures so you can see the sides of the tofu. I definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • It pisses me off

I've studied the presses and this one works

I've been vegan for a long time so I eat a lot of hard tofu. I buy tofu on sale and keep it so I always have it on hand. I eat it raw or raw, marinated (miso paste is good for this) and never thought of pressing it until I saw the tofu press, which was mentioned in passing. I was fascinated. I studied presses (there are so many types) and even thought about the old-fashioned method of weighing down on two plates. This press is so easy to use, speaks for itself and you can just wash it off when…

Also goes with Yoghurt Cheese

So this is a bit off label but I got it to make yoghurt cheese. Yoghurt is eaten for lunch these days. It's cheap, easy and good for me. Good. That's cool. How is this related to the press? Well, last year my husband bought me an Instapot so I could make my own yogurt, and have you ever actually *made* yogurt? -the-last-week-and-OMFG-i-will-drown-in-everything-until-i-can-eat-it-all. So we started with the usual substitutes - sour cream, buttermilk, etc. In the end, that was all left over for…

Compact and does exactly what I want!

I wanted the tofu press to be strong and not have a lot of moving parts that could easily break. Many others I've looked at have relied on springs, rubber bands, or something similar to press the tofu, and many reviews have mentioned that they break. This press is good in that regard. There are very few parts that are fragile, small, or in constant danger of breaking. However, I have two complaints about it and if I could fix them it would be an easy 5 star product. First, if you wrap your tofu
