This is probably the best value for money. My kid loved carrying and using the gears outside. However, I only wanted a hat and vest, so didn't have high hopes for the rest. The binoculars don't really have power, so you only see what you see with your normal eyesight. Flashlight and pliers broke after a month. I would say the hat is suitable for a 3-4 year old and the vest for a skinny 6 year old.

My kids love this explorer set. The waistcoat is a little loose for my 8 year old son but fits my 11 year old daughter perfectly. They found the whistle very helpful when calling other children when a bug was found and the compass on it was a nice touch. Also, they were very intrigued by the battery-free flashlight, especially when I showed them that it's handle-powered. Overall, this is a good product that will provide your kids with hours of exploring fun.

We got about what we expected. I ordered 2 months ago, so far nothing has broken. I had to gently pull off one of the plastic bubble traps as we opened them so they could open and close, which I had to be very careful with. These tools aren't the cheapest, but they're only marginally better. The vest is surprisingly durable enough to be machine washed, but I wouldn't use a machine.
