This is a standard mini-B USB cable. He does his job well. We use it with a USB conference microphone. So far, so good. Can't say much more than it appears to be well built. I don't think we will have any problems because of that. Only time will tell I guess.

Purchased to add some length between laptop and USB mic. The mic lights up when connected to this cable (meaning it has power), but none of my 3 computers recognized the device on any of the USB ports. Old cable connected, everything works fine. Okay, I just have to go between takes.

Footnote: I bought a 25ft player because I had the idea of maybe playing it in bed (personally, my creativity comes at night when I'm sleeping).

The length of this cable is ideal for large studio recordings. Transfer speeds were fairly slow, but that's only to be expected given the length of this cable. I found it worked great with both my Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 6D Mark II. I didn't have any issues with the size of the ports like some other third party brands. Overall I would buy this again if or when I need another.

I ordered this because I saw several reviews that said it would work tethered to a DSLR. I plugged it in right after receiving the package, from my Canon T6 to MBP 2012, and it works great! It works fast and 25 feet is amazing! It came quickly too! I will definitely buy more!

I'm giving this product one star because it doesn't and can't work. I learned this lesson the hard way when I bought it and figured I could control my Celestron NexStar 8SE telescope remotely from my laptop using an extended USB cable long enough to take it from my laptop to use from home.
