This will not work for cables and connectors

Purchased to add some length between laptop and USB mic. The mic lights up when connected to this cable (meaning it has power), but none of my 3 computers recognized the device on any of the USB ports. Old cable connected, everything works fine. Okay, I just have to go between takes.
