Ideal for pets that gnaw wires and cables

Our two cats are already grown, LOVE cables and wires! We buy this loom regularly and double wrap EVERYTHING to protect our beloved pets and save energy. It actually bothers my cat relatives when chewing. For us, it protects when we're not looking, but it needs to be replaced regularly. From two different families, all of whom we highly recommend! My husband and father-in-law have also been using it under the hoods of all their cars for years. for storing/bundling cables and ties on the inside.

This will prevent your cats from chewing on thin strings.

I bought this so our cats wouldn't chew on various small wires around the house, data and power cords. This worked great to prevent further damage to the cords, and cats shouldn't like the ribbed texture of the cover either. You don't even get in the way of the cables anymore. Cover as many end caps as possible. The slot in the lid is a bit difficult to open and the cable plugs in without any worries. However, I've found that inserting the handle of a butter knife into the cut and moving it…

Stronger than it looks against cats

I use this for everything so my 1 2 thinks he's a teenager because he chews cord. This cat chews on EVERYTHING and I've used those smelly cord protectors before and they did NOTHING to stop him. Also, they gave me a headache. They don't have an unpleasant smell, they are easy to apply. When I got this I figured it wouldn't stop him from chewing because he has big sharp teeth. As soon as I tried applying this to the wire, it chewed on the protector and you know what. no puncture marks and it was

Makes cords less tempting for kitties!

Let me tell you how pissed I was when my kitties chewed through a few spots on an $80 laptop charger. As soon as I bought another charger and (wrongly) forgot it, they chewed on the new one! I quickly googled cable protectors and found this one from Amazon Prime! I repaired the cracks with Sugra Clay (self-aligning rubber) and then inserted the cable into this product. It took some time but it's worth it. The open areas at both ends are well protected by the sugar. I will add deodorant to the…

Effectively hides cords from bumps with some adjustments

I have cats who like to chew. One or both have messed up two CPAP hoses and a speaker wire. Why weren't they banned? idiots. Here's what I did. First I cut off a foot of the coil and soaked it in a glass of vinegar. Then I tried to get the cats to play with him because I can be even dumber than them. (See my review of the replacement CPAP hose). You don't want to harm that coil after it's been soaked in vinegar. Finding it unwise to soak the speaker wire in vinegar, I poured some white vinegar…

Works great on sharp teeth!

This saved my power cords. I have a cat and he's a total jerk. When he's bored or irritable or happy or in need, he nibbles on things. All elements. But his favorite chew toys are electric wires. It doesn't matter that I bought hundreds of toys and gave him perches and everything. No, he only needs cables. I bought it in 1/4" size (for phone cord or mouse cord) and 1/2" size (for regular outlet or HDMI cord). My cat is still chewing on it and seems to be enjoying it more, but he hasn't managed…

Works well for animals chewing on wires.

A few years ago I rescued a half dead stray kitten and spent a lot of money on vet bills to save it. To repay my kindness, she decided to gnaw through every electrical wire and cable she could. Before I "discovered" the loom, she destroyed my scanner cords, two laptop power cords, some phone cords, some stereo cords, and a fan power cord. Needless to say it was quite inconvenient and also expensive. Someone told me about this substance and I bought several small packs. The auto parts store is a
