it's 100% copper yes 4 gauge I'm not sure compared to the old cable years ago it's also a bit smaller in comparison to the rockville 4 amp kit caliber i found the rockville better and its a true 4gauge and it only cost me 49.99 i recommend this one better.

True Wire 0/1 OFC. The cable to turn on the remote control could be a bit bigger and longer. If the RCA inputs are not on the same side as the far end, you will need to cut their jacket or connect a different piece of cable. That. General. It was a good price, with free shipping it's hard to beat.

Beautiful installation kit. Everything is mostly of the quality expected for the price. The only thing I would change is the size of the cable used for the remote cable which is braided in the RCA. Not sure if mine was just defective or what the problem was, but I had to run a separate wire as that couldn't send power to the amp in this kit.

The power and ground wires are really good but the remote wire on the RCA cable doesn't work. However, RCA works. I found 3 cons in this set: 1) The remote control cable doesn't work (others have said the same). 2) The fuse for set 1/0 is rated at 150 A. 3) The RCA connector is very tight (trying to pull it out may damage your stereo or amplifier).

This kit is so heavy the package can't support the weight of the wiring lol. I use 1600W RMS with no problems! I recommend this kit and am very happy with my purchase, it's worth every fraction of the price! You'd better have some heavy duty wire cutting tools and a good crimp for the wire connectors that come with it, or have a heavy hammer and a flathead screwdriver handy. This kit is AMAZING!

Great kit except for two minor issues. First, the remote control didn't work. I don't know why which sucks because I had to disassemble my truck a second time to run another remote wire. The remote control cable that comes with the RCA is VERY small (in size). Not sure why it didn't work, but the remote cable I connected afterwards worked fine. Power cord exactly as described and very flexible! The only thing to be aware of is that the terminals cannot be crimped with power or ground wires, so a crimping tool is required. As per other reviews, the remote turn on cable in RCA cables is very thin, only about 6 inches long at each end. So if your remote terminal is on the other side of your amp, you'll either need to connect an extension cable or just run a separate cable from the main unit using RCA cables, which I did as I didn't trust

All in all this is a great cable set for the money but if I have to complain it will be the remote amp cable. In the package the cable is routed as one unit with the RCA cable, during installation we found that the cable was faulty but it took the server hours to fix the problem. To be honest the wire is very thin and not very long and it seems to break easily. I would recommend running a separate power wire from the radio or fuse to get a reliable connection every time!
