Description of 🔴 InstallGear 16 Gauge AWG 100ft Speaker Wire | 99.9% Oxygen-Free Copper | True Spec | Soft Touch Cable | Red/Brown

100-FEET (30.5m) / 16 GAUGE SPEAKER WIRE - The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Thicker wire presents less resistance to current flow. OXYGEN-FREE COPPER (OFC) - Oxygen Free Copper wiring provides a superior electrical conductor to aluminum because it does not expand or contract with heat and can carry a higher current load. RUGGED PVC JACKET - Allows free, wide and seamless adjustment of the required physical properties of this wire such as flexibility, elasticity, and impact resistance. EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two color jacket allows for easy polarity identification. Making a polarity mistake could be damaging to your audio equipment. SOFT TOUCH JACKET - The jacket on our cable is designed with the installer in mind. The flexibility of this jacket allows for easy routing and has a low memory.

Not even close to 16 gauge. DO NOT BUY

16 of my butt size. It's not even 20 gauge. Complete garbage wires and waste of money. Companies like this should be sued for blatant lying.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Fits

Wrong cable 16 gauge! Compared to 18 gauge or even 24 gauge wire

When I received the 16 gauge wire I checked the product and found a lot of wire insulation and very little copper wire and a small amount of wires/ strands . NOT REAL 16 gauge wire, more like 18 gauge Very disappointed with this product, I returned it immediately, I would not recommend this product!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • For seniors

The wire is not 16 gauge. the best AV accessory

This is not a 16 gauge cable, I don't think even 18 gauge. Just leave this information to help other buyers. I liked InstallGear, I've bought it before with good results, but it sucks. I won't trust them anymore. I bought Kable Direct and it's a great oxygen free cable, true 16 gauge, for about the same price. Shown at right is CableDirect.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Faulty

I promise you will regret buying it!

This waste wire is shown next to real 16 gauge wire. I don't like being lied to, and such a thin wire is useless. I will never buy anything from the company again and I advise against it. This is 18 gauge wire. I measured it with my automatic wire stripper. Revain was probably intended to stop China from defrauding American consumers. I was confused and didn't read the reviews. I couldn't mess up the 16 gauge wire that bad.

Good quality but thin

This wire is very flexible and works well for installing new components in my car. Although it's thin. I took it off twice as long as it took me and folded it back up to double the thickness in my ports. I just replaced my door speakers so I didn't need thicker wires than factory so I'm happy but I believe other reviews are correct that it is actually 18AWG. The flexibility is amazing and they look and feel great too. If you can hear the difference in how two different cables sound in a car…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Perfect copper wire, very flexible except it's 18 AWG.

The wire has a soft, flexible sheath, softer and more flexible than Sky High wire, it is comparable to knuconcepts wire in flexibility, but the major disadvantage here is that it is not actually 16 AWG, the size is exactly the same 18 AWG wire. perfect for tweeters, midrange and low powered speakers, but you definitely don't want to use this on a subwoofer. While I'm upset that I was also lied to, I actually wanted to buy 18 gauge speaker wire but couldn't find one with a soft flexible jacket…

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Expensive

Probably one of the best speaker cables I have ever used

I never thought I would review speaker cables but this stuff is amazing. The jacket is very comfortable, a bit rubbery but not silky, smooth to the touch almost like suede while being VERY stretchy and light. It doesn't kink and lies perfectly flat. The wire itself seems pretty solid, when I stripped the ends of the wire I didn't notice any loose pieces. I'm not using them for an audiophile setup so can't comment on the sound, but they work fine for my application. I will say that the only…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Long Time

This is NOT a 16AWG cable. After receiving it, I immediately noticed that the wire itself is thinner than other 16AWG wires I had on hand. It looks more like an 18AWG cable. If you look closely at the product, it doesn't say *AWG* anywhere - just "16 gauge". It's clearly not 16AWG cable. Also, compared to the NVX 16AWG OFC cable I also had on hand, this InstallGear cable has *much* fewer strands - probably less than half the strands of NVX 16AWG. the cable! Huge difference. It should work fine…

Pros
  • SOFT TOUCH JACKET - Our cable jacket is specially designed for the installer. The flexibility of this wrapper allows for easy routing and has little memory.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Perfect copper wire, super flexible except it's 18 AWG.

The wire has a soft flexible jacket, softer and more flexible than Sky High wire, it's comparable in flexibility to knuconcepts' wire, but the big downside here is that it's not really 16 AWG, which is Size is exactly the same, it is 18 AWG wire. . perfect for tweeters, midrange and low powered speakers, but you definitely don't want to use this on a subwoofer. Although I'm upset I've also been lied to, I actually wanted to buy an 18 gauge speaker wire but I couldn't find one with a soft…

Pros
  • EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION. The two-tone shell makes it easy to determine polarity. Reverse polarity can damage your audio device.
