Not the best ring

Four stars for the thickness because it's too thick. They were much larger in diameter than traditional copper ring terminals. I had to do multiple rotary crimps between each crimp as the termination ran out between the crimp dies and formed flat edges. The shrink tube is hardly put on and is very thin.

Pros
  • Tinned to prevent corrosion
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Wrong size for clamps

When I received them I saw that they were the wrong size. They are marked for 1/0 wire but have an inside diameter of .490" and an outside diameter of .610". The third party copper lugs shown here have an ID of .400" and an OD of .500" and are ideal for InstallGear 1/0 wire. See individual reviews of the IWISS crimp tool and WNI 1/0 crimp lugs.

Pros
  • Contains: 10 tinned copper sleeves, 5 red heat shrink tubes, 5 black heat shrink tubes
Cons
  • I will add later

Wrong ID for 1/0 AWG

I bought different tips for my two battery project from different manufacturers. Size, and just by visual inspection, they were of much better quality than Installgear. The crimp tool came out elongated and crooked where it normally creates a clean hexagonal crimp. Worse, once crimped, I was able to pull the connector off the cable with little effort, not only useless but potentially dangerous. The tips I bought are one from Windy Nation and one from Installgear. Installgear's actually fit 4/0…

Pros
  • Input wire size: 1/2 inch
Cons
  • I'll write later
