Ferret Food - Dry

I feed it to save ferrets. It still annoys me that a variety of nature added peas to their original and raw boost formula. I used to be able to buy 12 pounds of groceries for $35. now stop protein is the only kind they produce without peas. Peas are linked to bladder stones! I will take absolutely no chances with my ferrets OR cats. The ultimate protein chicken contains fewer carbohydrates than duck and more meat protein. I definitely wish the bags were £12 or the pet chain would sell this in…

She didn't like it but it calmed her stomach

We have been using it on our Persian cat for a few years. She had terrible diarrhea when we got her, we've been to several vets, tried many different medications and diets, all to no avail. How do you survive a cat with constant leaking diarrhea and how do you live with an animal suffering from such a disease? Finally, we tried Nature's Variety Raw Chicken (frozen) for cats. She didn't like it, but her stomach settled. Then we slowly transferred it to this dry version. She's been amazing since…

Quality Control Issues

Update: This is a great food when my cats eat it, but about 1 in 3 packs is left untouched by my two cats. They smell it and refuse to eat. WHY? I just opened a 10 pound bag and my two cats don't want to eat it. Then I put the exact same food from another bag next to them and they nailed it straight away. It happens over and over. On closer inspection you can see that it is a slightly different color and texture. It even smells so different that I can tell. I can't keep spending money on it…

The best dry food for senior cats or sensitive teeth!

Compared to most senior/adult cat foods on the market, this food is superior! It has premium ingredients and while it's a little pricey, my cats eat less of it because they're getting protein instead of empty calories or cheap fillers. Your waste also doesn't smell as bad as it does when you eat cheap groceries. My cats are 3 and 18 and both love it. An 18-year-old cat particularly likes its light, chewy texture. While still crunchy enough to brush your teeth, the pellets are soft enough to be…

WARNING! RECIPE CHANGED

The recipe has changed! The second ingredient is now tapioca, which made my cat so constipated that she stopped eating or drinking within a week. After a week on the new formula he was still vomiting bile so I was understandably concerned. He had to be taken to a veterinary clinic and is now on overnight intravenous fluids to help him pass a piece of food stuck in his colon and may need to be given an enema sedative if that doesn't work. It cost me hundreds of dollars to pay if it meant my cat…

Some pros, too many cons

It's hard to find dry cat food that doesn't contain anything harmful to cats. We love that this food is grain, corn, potato, soy and wheat free (we have a diabetic cat so this is an issue). Unfortunately, ingredient #2 (tapioca) in this food is bad for cats, and ingredient #4 (flaxseed) appears to be even worse. Another of our cats is having trouble breathing; Flaxseed is high in lignin, an insoluble fiber. This caused his stomach to become very swollen and he remained bloated throughout his…

Vomiting after eating Cats

My friend recommended this dry food to me and gave me half a pack. My cat loves it and ate everything every time. After he finished the remaining half of the bag I bought a new £10 bag from Revain. It's the same one my friend gave me. After my cat ate the new one I bought, she started throwing up. My cat is fed up with everything she ate (he only ate this kibble). At first I thought it was normal hairball vomiting. However, in the next two days he vomits after eating this dry food. I can see he
