Description of Integrated stereo amplifier Quad Vena II, lancaster grey
Features and Benefits of Quad Integrated Amplifier Vena IIVena II are the original integrated stereo amplifiers of the British manufacturer Quad, which were presented at the Munich High End Equipment Exhibition in 2018. When designing and assembling the devices, the same engineering solutions and technical base were used as the previous model, while the functionality was expanded due to additional options. Also, the amplifiers have been modified at the software level, so that they perfectly cope with digital signals.
Design and Housing The Quad Vena II stereo amplifiers feature an attractive black or silver metal housing with perforated panels. The front panel houses a large volume knob, a power button, a 6.3 mm headphone jack and main controls with LEDs for displaying operating parameters, active inputs, etc. All input and output ports are located on the rear wall.
Amplifying partQuad Vena II integrated circuits have wide functionality and guarantee high-quality dynamic sound. Digital and analog circuits are powered by separate stabilized sources, which helps to reduce crosstalk and obtain the most transparent sound. To connect acoustics in amplifiers, reliable screw terminals for banana plugs are provided. The design of the device is thought out to the smallest detail, which guarantees stability and durability of operation in stereo systems and home theaters of various configurations. Quad Vena II work with different signal sources and are able to pump medium-sized rooms. On the rear wall there are USB ports of type A and B for connecting Apple devices, as well as switching with computers on the local network. The devices are equipped with optical and coaxial digital inputs and outputs.
The DAC amplifiers support High Resolution audio formats up to 24-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD up to 256 kHz. This is provided by the built-in ES9018K2M DAC with 32-bit HyperStream ESS architecture.
ConnectivityThe presence of a Bluetooth receiver allows you to connect wirelessly, and the aptX protocol guarantees the highest quality connection from compatible smartphones or tablets. There are also coaxial and optical inputs, a phono input and analog RCA inputs, as well as a headphone jack combined with a separate amplifying circuit. The devices develop a good output power of 45/65 W on each channel at 8/4 ohm load. This ensures efficient drive of large bookshelf or small floor standing speakers.
