Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

The 5960X isn't just the fastest desktop CPU to date, it's a true gift from Intel. Basically, they are selling a powerful server processor (with some caveats, ofcomurse) with overclocking capability for the price of a desktop processor. I do 3D graphics. Visualization (rendering) is what eats up a lot of time. There are philosophers who talk about the advisability of building a render farm of 5 fx-8530s, etc. , arguing that it willcomst less and as a result we will get a more productive…

Pros
  • 8 cores, HT, etc. I think it doesn't make sense to rewrite all his characteristics in a review :) But what is really important is that it easily chases up to @4.5 while remaining cold (up to 65 degrees when rendering v-ray). Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Although it may sound strange to some - the price is huge, fat PLUS (more in the comments)
Cons
  • Well they don't :)

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

If you need a PC for work and with an emphasis on the next upgrade in a few years, this is what you need. All the latest PCs and laptops were assembled on the basis of extreme sports. For the next 2-3 years, I didn’t bother with ating hardware and felt comfortable. Pros below: In principle, I see no reason to repeat what has already been said and breed a tautology with a transfusion of water. All its constructive advantages have already been expressed here more than once with objective data.…

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

I took it right away as it went for 41k, but now it costs more than 2 times more. the usual i7 eight stream 2700k was not enough. as soon as the current came out in the 5960s, I decided to buy this percentage without even thinking, the performance of this percentage suits me today I will ate the current as soon as 10 nuclear comes out, until then I will sit on it. I was especially surprised by the fact that in overclocking to 4.2 it does an excellent job with cooling single tower…

Pros
  • characteristics of his dignity! solder, good overclocking for all specimens
Cons
  • No!

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

As already mentioned above, an excellent solution for technical problems and the like. When choosing a task, you should pay attention to enabling or disabling hyper-threading. Different approaches give different results on different tasks. Great for overclocking, but you need a good cooler or CBO, which I indicated above, or a self-assembly CBO. Change the basic "carlsons" in the CBO systems immediately to quiet and powerful ones from 1500-1700 rpm, setting a constant airflow, only in this case

Pros
  • Eight cores. For solving technical problems, just a great solution in a home configuration
Cons
  • Requires a minimum of air cooling from Noctua, in fact better than Nepton 280L or Kraken X60

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

1) If the cooling was chosen correctly, then the temperature of the processor without overclocking is 30-40 degrees. In overclocking under heavy load, all 16 threads are at 100%, up to 60 / 70-75 degrees. 2) Performance cannot be described in words, what used to take 2-3 hours is now completed in 15-20 minutes. 3) If good cooling is installed, then without effort you can overclock to 4.8Ghz. And if with efforts, then up to 5.4Ghz. I'm cooling a CBO Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate processor on…

Pros
  • 1) Cold* 2) Very powerful* 3) Huge overclocking potential* 4) 8 cores/16 threads 5) cache 20mb. 6) Support DDR4
Cons
  • They simply don't exist. 7) For the price, see Comment *

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Whoever says that he is badly chasing is absolutely not true. As luck would have it, everyone knows this. For example, the same 3770K, which is probably still considered the best in terms of overclocking, sometimes also "poorly runs". For example, I had a 3770K overclocked to 4.7Hz, but I couldn’t achieve stable operation on the Noctua "NH-D15" air blower with 3 Noctua "NF-S12A PWM". That is + 1.2 Hz maximum. I personally managed to overclock the 5960x with the same cooling to 4.5 Hz stable…

Pros
  • Very fast, 8 cores (16 threads), excellent overclocking, cold.
Cons
  • Expensive

Good product at a good price, I recommend to try it.

- That CPU, where the expression: "there is never a lot of memory" is justified, albeit not in a literal sense. - The cache is large, even very . but also, for work associated with frequent use of RAM and in large volumes, the cache needs to be overclocked, it is also good in default, but it gives a good boost in overclocking! And to overclock it, you will already need a good motherboard and already cooling, most likely there is already a sense in the CBO, but this is not accurate. - 4.5GHz…

Pros
  • Circled topic after so much time from the release date. If there is no time to read this review, in the YouTube search we drive in: "Proper overclocking of HASWELL-E, using the example of i7 5960X", user "renovatio". There you will find most of the information. Short: 1. Runs great 2.4 channel on DDR4 3. Solder 4. At the time of writing, you can buy at a reasonable price, albeit used.
Cons
  • “Price is a big concept. Here it is not only the price of the CPU, but also the MB, RAM, cooling, "but this is debatable." It was rightly said here: how can you not cool the boxed CO, BUT not far away people buy a stone for a round sum to cool it with luminum for 300. There are also solid sums for the motherboard and memory, since only the 4th channel provides the capabilities of the stone with the necessary "fuel", in the two-channel the "write" to the memory sags very much, and these are delays directly in the cache with the consequences! - TDP, eats a lot and generates no less heat during acceleration. At around 4.5GHz for the cores and 3.6GHz for the cache (3.0 nominal, who doesn’t know, otherwise there are turbos: why does the RAM in the drain work at 2133MHz, and not like on the 2400MHz bars, maybe not aware of the cache in principle) and active 16 threads, this "miracle of engineering" consumes 200W, or rather 213! This is prime, you can’t load it in games like that . for now, and it will still be less. But the overall picture is emerging.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

Did a little test, recorded on video. "Working machine test" - look for those who are interested. In my opinion, everything is clear without words. Because it's visible. I agree that this is a real gift from Intel. Who starts to "complain" about the price - he simply did not understand anything. The new top models are more expensive than the I7-5960X - but I would prefer it. It's worth the money, definitely. In all respects. And for games - incl.

Pros
  • A powerful eight-core processor with good overclocking potential and a considerable resource. Energy efficient. It heats up a little and cools well. Obviously succeeded.
Cons
  • Not
