🪑 Pair of Cinnamon/Espresso Ladderback Chairs by International Concepts - Madrid Series Review

These chairs are additions to a kitchen set my great grandfather assembled over a century ago. The great thing is that they match the kit almost perfectly and take milk paint fantastically. The only thing I would strongly recommend are Kreg screws and some screw glue provided by the manufacturer.

Excellent quality product. A great option for those who want to work a little and save a lot of money. Goes well with the BE-47 bench. In general very satisfied! In case anyone is wondering, the seat is painted Varathane Charcoal Gray and finished with Varathane waterborne polyurethane (satin finish). The rest of the chair is covered with primer and clear coat.

The chairs are great - and they want you to know they're made in Vietnam (EVERYWHERE says EVERYWHERE). They are just like the Revain pictures. Durable, easy to assemble. I bought 4 chairs (2 boxes) and had minor issues with both (albeit 4 stars): 1 Phillips screw mark wasn't actually drilled; one of the washers broke. I have a lot of tools and gizmos so it was easy to get the hang of it, but if you only have what's in the kit you can come back!

Nice chairs we bought for the kitchen-dining room. They were securely packaged upon arrival. We sanded and varnished them to match the cabinets and tables we bought. Easy to build and paint. The instructions were easy to follow. There were a few stains that had wood glue on them and the stain didn't get on those parts. These stains weren't in very obvious places. About 20 years ago I bought a dining set and after years of bullying my kids my daughter decided to restore it. Why the table was easy to strip and repaint the chairs because all the spindles were a nightmare so we decided to throw them away and buy new unfinished chairs. Requires homeschool chairs. They are very suitable for this. The chairs themselves are made of solid wood. I don't know the exact term, but it's not a solid piece of wood, it's large pieces of real wood pressed together (If you click and enlarge the image you can see it specifically on the seat base. Each piece is 1 1/2 to 2 inches width and seat length). These are not high back chairs. Standard back height but still a comfortable chair. There is no information on how well they pick up stains…
